Are You Eligible for a 2008/2009 Year Rates Rebate?

It is the final week for low-income ratepayers to apply to the Council for a 2008/2009 rates rebate.

To be eligible, ratepayers need to bring in as much supporting evidence to enable their application to proceed. This will include income information, their first 2008/2009 instalment of Horowhenua District Council rates, and also their Horizons rates invoice. If applicable, their HDC water consumption invoices for the 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2008 period will be included in the calculation.

You have until Tuesday, 30 June 2009 to apply for a rebate and if granted, it will show as a credit against your next instalment of HDC rates. We are not processing rebates for the next financial year (2009/2010) at present.
