PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF RESOURCE CONSENT APPLICATION TO THE HOROWHENUA DISTRICT COUNCIL FOR SUB DIVISION CONSENT UNDER SECTION 93 OF THE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT ACT 1991
The Horowhenua District Council has received the following resource consent application for consideration.
SUB DIVISION CONSENT – SUB/2729/2008, 770 MUHUNOA WEST ROAD, OHAU, LEGAL DESCRIPTION LOT 1 DP 48282
Applicant: Pritchard Group Limited on behalf of P M and L E Wood
The proposal is to subdivide a rural allotment (in extent 101.53 Ha) into 15 rural allotments ranging in size from 1.2 to .8 Ha, 7 open space allotments (to be held in common ownership) and a local purpose reserve along the southern boundary to vest in the Council, to enable pedestrian access to the beach. The property is situated at the end of Muhunoa West Road with frontage to the coast along the western boundary.
The proposal includes an application for land use consent covering earthworks associated with the construction of an internal road and the road itself within an outstanding landscape (Coastal Buffer).
The proposal does not include the construction of dwellings which will be the subject of separate land use consents at a later stage.
The application includes an Assessment of Environmental Effects, a Landscape Visual Effects Assessment, an Engineering Assessment, an Earthworks Management Plan and written approvals from affected parties.
The application site is zoned Rural under the Horowhenua District Plan where subdivision, earthworks and new roading are Discretionary Activities in the Coastal Buffer Area.
Copies of the full application may be inspected at the offices of the Horowhenua District Council, 126 Oxford Street, Levin during normal office hours.

The submission must be on Form 13.
