Thursday, 22 October 2009 Proposal to Close Part of Plimmer Terrace (State Highway 57, Shannon) between its intersections with Stafford Street and Ballance Street to Vehicular Traffic

PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the Horowhenua District Council, for the purpose of the Shannon Christmas Parade and Community Carnival Event, proposes to close the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.

During the proposed period of closure the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the road:

An approved Traffic Management Plan will be in operation with signage and marshals.

Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of his objection and grounds thereof in writing, before 15 November 2009 either by posting it to the Horowhenua District Council, Private Bag 4002, Levin, faxing it to 06 366 0983, or delivering it to the Service Centres, Main Street in Foxton, Plimmer Terrace in Shannon or the Customer Service Centre, 126 Oxford Street, Levin.

Road proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic: Part of Plimmer Terrace (State Highway 57, Shannon) between its intersections with Stafford Street and Ballance Street.

Period of proposed closure: Sunday, 13 December 2009 between the hours of 11.30am and 1.30pm.
