Industry Training Graduation Ceremony
Thursday, 22 October 2009
For the third year the Horowhenua District Council is hosting a ceremony to recognise those who have attained a qualification through an Industry Training Organisation. This is an important achievement and one that deserves recognition for the skills and commitment involved.
Horowhenua is a member of the Mayors’ Taskforce for Jobs, a national initiative to encourage employment or training for people in New Zealand. The Taskforce has been at the forefront of promoting industry training to position this sector as a valuable and viable career option.
The Industry Training Graduation is an important initiative for the Taskforce in recognising the importance of these qualifications, raising the sector’s profile within the District and celebrating the success of those who have chosen to become skilled in their vocation.
The Graduation will be held at the Horowhenua District Council Chambers, 126 Oxford Street, Levin, commencing at 7.00pm on Thursday 12 November 2009.
