Further Submissions Close on Plan Changes 20 & 21
Tuesday, 28 April 2009
Further submissions on Plan Change 20 (Rural Subdivision) and Plan Change 21 (Greenbelt Residential & Urban Growth) closed on Monday, 27 April 2009.
The Council Planning Officers will now collate all of the original submissions and further submissions for each plan change and begin preparing the Planning Reports for the public hearings.
Although no date for the public hearings for these Plan Changes has been set, it is likely that hearings will be held over several days in July during office hours. All submitters will be directly notified of the hearing dates and venue. Submitters are reminded that if their contact details change, they are to advise the Council if they want to be kept informed of the plan change process.
Although the hearings will be open to the public, only those submitters who have indicated that they wish to speak at the hearing will have the opportunity to present their submission, or have someone present on their behalf. The public hearings will be heard by the Council’s Hearings Committee.
The Planning Reports with the Planning Officer’s recommendations for Plan Change 20 and 21 will be made available before the hearings to all submitters who have indicated that they wish to speak at the public hearings. The Council will ask submitters to confirm before the Hearings if they still wish to present their submission.
The Plan Change documents together with the original submissions can be viewed and downloaded here.
