Further Submissions on Plan Changes Close Soon
Thursday, 26 March 2009
The second phase of public feedback to two proposals to change the Horowhenua District Plan will close on Monday, 27 April 2009, at 5.00pm.
Further submissions were called on more than 150 submissions received for Plan Change 20 in relation to rural subdivision, and Plan Change 21, the provision of Greenbelt Residential & Urban Growth areas.
Once the current phase closes, Council's Planning Officers will then collate all submissions, both original and further submissions, for each plan change and begin preparing the Planning Reports for public hearings. As yet no date has been set for these public hearings but it is likely they will be held over several days in July during office hours. All submitters will be directly notified of the venue and hearing dates.
Hearings will be heard by the Council's Hearings Committee and are open to the public although only those submitters who have indicated that they wish to speak at the hearing will have the opportunity to present their submission or have someone speak on their behalf.
Submitters who have requested speaking rights will have access to recommendations made in the Planning Reports for Plan Change 20 and 21 prior to the hearings.
The Plan Change documents together with the original submissions can be viewed and downloaded by clicking here. Further submissions will be available later next week after submissions close.
