On Wednesday, 1 February 2012, Horowhenua District Council facilitated a community workshop that enabled discussion on the Government's Green Paper for Vulnerable Children. Over 40 community representatives turned up to learn more about the Green Paper.

The Agrecovery Rural Recycling programme will shortly be holding collections for unwanted or expired agrichemicals in our region. Many chemicals are eligible for free disposal, while others may be subsidised through central government funding.
