Elderberries
Welcome to Elderberries, Horowhenua District Council's magazine for our residents aged 50 and over.
Horowhenua has over 120 service and recreation providers for the older age group, with many publishing their own newsletters to keep members informed of activities, meetings and events. In an effort to help these groups stay in touch and to highlight them and their different interests, the Horowhenua District Council publishes this free, two-monthly magazine.
Elderberries draws on contributions from groups and presents the information in one quality magazine free to subscribers. If you know of someone, or a group with a good tale to tell, contact comms@horowhenua.govt.nz or phone Raewyn Perry on 06 366 0999.
Copies of the magazine will be posted to subscribers. Elderberries is also available in the Council’s service centres and the District's libraries.
In this issue: Where have all the bees gone, seminars for "scaredy cats" and cheesmaking workshops.
