Public Halls
The Horowhenua District Council Supplies and maintains for the communities use:
- 3 Memorial Halls situated in; Levin, Foxton and Shannon.
- 2 Rural Halls situated in; Mangahou Road, Mangaore Village, and Okuku Road, North of Shannon.
- 4 Sporting Pavilions situated on the Shannon Domain, Ohau Domain, Essex Street, Levin and the Tokomaru Domain.
- 2 Surf Lifesaving Clubs situated; Waitarere Beach and Foxton Beach.
- 4 Community Buildings being the Shannon Railway Station, the Foxton Museum, the Foxton Visual Arts Museum and Thompson House in Levin.
- 3 Community Centres situated in; Durham Street, Levin, Rua Avenue, Waitarere Beach and Seabury Avenue, Foxton Beach.
