FOXTON BEACH
Just 5km west of Foxton is the community of Foxton Beach which has a permanent population of 2000 and has a primary school. Located at the mouth of the Manawatu River, this small town offers an abundance of activities including fishing (off the wharf, out at sea), dragging for flounder, cockle & pipi gathering, river and sea swimming, body boarding and surfing, jet skiing, water skiing, canoeing and kayaking, kite surfing and wind surfing, boating and yachting.
