Liability Management Policy | Kaupapahere mō te Whakahaere Taunaha

The Local Government Act 2002 requires that a Long Term Plan includes certain key policy statements. These policies are the framework for Council's planning, decision-making and accountability processes.

Horowhenua District Council's Liability Management Policy is contained in its Long Term Plan 2021-2041 (LTP) as one of its key policy statements.

This policy explains the Council's approach to managing its liabilities and how the associated risks are controlled. In particular, the policy seeks to ensure that liabilities are maintained at a level that does not compromise the ability of the Council to meet its future expenditure needs.

This policy is available for downloading below as a separate document.
