Horowhenua Community Health Shuttle

The Horowhenua Community Health Shuttle was launched on 3 February 2008 and is a vital community service.  This initiative was driven by the Horowhenua District Health Transportation Trust which was formed in October 2007.

How It Operates

Two shuttles operate Monday to Friday and run from the Horowhenua Health Centre to Palmerston North, to the hospital, private appointments and any other medical centres as needed.

The shuttle makes five return trips a day, leaving the Horowhenua Health Centre at 7am, 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm and returning at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.  The service will transport passengers for a donation made to the Trust.

From 5 May 2008 the Levin Community Services van will start a pick up service around Levin for the 9am and 1pm shuttle, which will be organised by the Shuttle Coordinator.

People utilising this service will arrive relaxed, have no parking worries and travel in comfort.

The shuttle will transport passengers for a donation made to the Trust.
