As of 13 February 2018 Levin & Ōhau have been downgraded to Level 2 Water Restrictions. As of 4 January 2018 Foxton & Foxton Beach has been upgraded to Level 2 Water Restrictions. Restrictions also remain for Shannon & Tokomaru (Level 2). Find out more about what the restrictions mean for you.
As of 23 January 2018, Fire and Emergency New Zealand has revoked the Prohibited Fire Season for part of the Horowhenua District. A Restricted Fire Season (Permits Required) is now in place from State Highway 1 inland. A Prohibited Fire Season (Total Fire Ban) remains in force from State Highway 1 to the Coast.
